TEETH WHITENING

Your smile is arguably the most important aspect of your appearance. At NK Aesthetics, we believe that all of our patients should be able to smile confidently – this is why we offer not one but two industry-leading teeth whitening techniques here at our Kidderminster practice.

Teeth whitening is an extremely safe and effective solution for patients with stained or discoloured teeth. It makes your teeth white by using hydrogen peroxide to release oxygen free radicals that remove stain molecules deep within the tooth.

This is the most popular treatment in cosmetic dentistry – and for good reason too. At NK Aesthetics, we offer teeth whitening solutions that are fast, effective, and extremely safe.

We carry both Zoom and Boutique Whitening – two of the industry leaders in the home teeth whitening market. In just a matter of days, you’ll start to see brighter, whiter teeth – with results potentially lasting many years. INVISIBLE BRACES

With orthodontic treatments like Six Month Smiles, Invisalign or QuickStraightTeeth™, your teeth can be straightened within a short period of time to improve the look if your smile and make you feel more confident in yourself. There are a number of issues this treatment can address, including:

  • Gaps between your teeth
  • If your teeth don’t meet when you bite down
  • Under bites, where the lower jaw protrudes beyond the upper jaw
  • Overbites, where the upper jaw protrudes more
  • Teeth that overlap one another
  • Teeth that fall the wrong side of each other when you bite down
  • If your upper front teeth protrude outwards

Our specialist dentists will guide you through the best orthodontic treatment for you to ensure you obtain great results in minimal time, keeping the expenses low too! All of our treatments are overseen by Dr Nikesh Kalidas, our Principal Dentist to ensure you get optimal results first time.

Invisalign

With Invisalign braces you can straighten your teeth discreetly without anyone even knowing you are wearing braces.

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners made from medical grade clear plastic that gradually straighten your teeth over time.

We are dedicated to using this innovative treatment to give you a smile to feel confident about.

A series of custom-made aligners are made for your teeth and each one will be worn for two weeks before changing to the next one, which will be slightly tighter.

This means that treatment develops according to a specific plan and that there is no need for adjustments like with other braces.

You will need to wear each aligner for a minimum of 20 hours each day for the best results.

Six Month Smile

A Six Month Smiles treatment uses cutting-edge technology and techniques to help move teeth in a quick and comfortable way. The treatment involves the use of nickel titanium wiring, coloured to match your natural tooth colour, to help move and straighten the teeth that are most on show when you smile. Treatment is efficient and effective, and positive results are usually seen in as little as six months.

While a standard brace can take more than two years to create the perfect smile, Six Month Smiles braces can generate results in just six months as their name implies. They help to nudge teeth back to where they belong without the discomfort, hassle and ugliness of traditional braces.

The braces themselves are clear brackets and wires, so are less visible than traditional braces and they work a lot faster because the system only focuses on correcting the front teeth that show when you smile.

Six Month Smiles braces are ideal for those with crooked teeth, small gaps or mild overcrowding. The braces are designed to fix misaligned teeth as quickly as possible, hence their name.

Quick Straight Teeth

An attractive smile can make you feel more confident and less conscious about crooked or misaligned teeth. At Stanley Dental Practice, we offer Quick Straight Teeth to patients looking for the most affordable, comfortable and effective orthodontics solution.

QuickStraightTeeth™ is a specially-designed and simple orthodontic approach which can be used by dentists. It is permitted for use in aligning the front six to eight teeth. QST, the creators of the system, is an orthodontic company that delivers teaching, mentoring and lab work to general dentists to enable them to provide certain orthodontic solutions for patients.

The QuickStraightTeeth™ system uses clear braces and/or wires coloured the same as your teeth. This ensures they are discrete inside your mouth. These braces are worn for a very short time in comparison to conventional braces – between four and 24 weeks, depending on the complexity of the problem. This ensures a fast and cost-effective route to straight teeth for the patient.

Quick Straight Teeth overcomes the four major factors that patients think about before choosing their straightening brand – cost, appearance, time and discomfort. Low laboratory fees and quick treatment times help to bring the cost down whilst not comprising on quality or the end result.

The brackets and wires are all tooth-coloured, making them almost invisible in the mouth. The average treatment time is only 4 – 24 weeks as the system concentrates on the front teeth that appear when you smile, and though you will not wear the braces for long, they are extremely comfortable ensuring optimum wearability.

At NK Aesthetics, our experienced team will take the time to listen and understand your concerns to ensure that we provide the most suitable treatment for you.

TEETH COLOURED FILLING

White fillings are one of the most popular fillings today due to the natural look and feel they offer. White fillings look completely natural and more often than not people will not be able to tell you have a filling. Yet another advantage of white fillings is that they are not actually white but custom made to closely match the colour of your teeth to achieve a more authentic look.

You can have white fillings on all of your teeth and they are just as hard wearing as metal fillings if maintained correctly. The material used for white fillings can also be used to correct minor irregularities on the front teeth through a process called bonding.

TEETH GRINDING

Teeth Grinding, also known as bruxism, can cause excessive wear and tear on the teeth in a short period of time. In turn, this could lead to hyper-sensitive teeth and in extreme cases can lead to root fillings or restorative dentistry if the grinding continues. These habits can also weaken teeth and cause chipping which also has a massive impact on the cosmetic appearance of your teeth. If left untreated, teeth grinding can ultimately lead to breakdown of the entire dentition, jaw pain, headaches, loss of sleep, and other TMJ disorders.

Bruxism can be caused by:

  • Stress and anxiety – If a person is anxious or having severe stress, they can subconsciously grind while they are sleeping.
  • Medicines – mood changing drugs (like anti-depressants) can have bruxism as an associated side effect
  • Misalignment of the teeth or jaw – If you have an abnormal bite when your lower and upper teeth come together, it is more likely for you to grind your teeth.
  • Lifestyle – We are not here to judge, but if you drink alcohol, take drugs, or smoke, you are more likely to grind your teeth

At NK Aesthetics, we can provide bespoke, laboratory constructed oral devices that are worn while you sleep, that have been developed to help stop you grinding and to protect your teeth and restorations form further damage.

Mouth Splint – Splints are made out of a hard, plastic material and will fit over the lower/upper teeth.

Mouth Guard – Made from a flexible rubber (like a gum shield) and will cover your teeth while you sleep.
